Frequently Asked Questions

What litters are planned for next year/have you thought that far ahead yet? If so, when are those puppies expected to be born?

For breeding announcements, please go to our Breeding announcement tab. At this time we do have a litter planned for end of 2026, but have not opened our wait-list yet. More information will be posted on when we will.

How much is the deposit?

The waitlist deposit is $250, which is credited towards the total amount of the puppy. The deposit is non-refundable. The only time that the deposit will be refundable or transferable, is if the litter did not take or we did not have the right puppy available.

When is payment due?  Do you offer payment plans?

The total amount of the puppy is due at time of pickup. Puppy must be paid in full by pickup, we do not accept payment’s once puppies leave.

How much are your puppies?

They are currently $3500, but up to date information will be listed on each litter announcement. We charge the same amount for all our puppies regardless of color or gender.

Do you charge more for certain colors or genders?

No, our puppies are all the same price.

Can I buy breeding rights?

No. We place our puppies on limited AKC registration (spay and neuter contracts). We only allow Full Registration with dedicated Breeders who we know and trust that will title, completely health test, do not doodle or mix, and promote responsible breeding practices.

Why don’t you lower the price for “pet quality” puppies?

Every puppy receives the same care, testing, socialization, and upbringing. Our costs and dedication don’t change, regardless of markings or show potential.

Where are you located?

A: We are located in Burns Oregon

If we live further away, how do we transport a puppy?

Most homes will fly into either Boise Idaho or Bend Oregon airports, where we meet them with their puppy. Puppies fly in cabin, under your seat. If it’s usually $150 for your puppies ticket to fly, plus $50 health certificate from our veterinarian.  Other options are ground transportation, or hiring a flight nanny.

What is your history of this breed and how did you gain your knowledge of them?

I began as a pet stylist in 2012 and fell in love with my poodle clients. I researched the breed heavily until we brought home our first poodle in 2019.  Since then I have actively shown in AKC and UKC, and titled my dog’s in multiple events. I continue to research to this day.

What Breed Clubs are you a member of?

We are members of the AKC Mt Bachelor Kennel Club, UKC United Poodle Association, UKC Northwest Poodle Fanciers.

Why do you breed?

I breed first for myself, which also is a huge benefit to our puppy homes. I love a poodle that will be an active family member, that will enjoy going to a show or trial, going on a walk or hike,  or relaxing at home. Each litter that I produce, is with the intent of picking a puppy I hope to move forward with. I’m actively working on improving multi-colored standard Poodles, and base my personal pick by evaluating each puppy: confidence, recovery, temperament, improved structure, and versatility potential. Our puppies go to wonderful pet homes, performance homes, service dog homes, and show homes. We have many puppies who are doing great in a variety of events. Seeing our homes be successful with their puppies, makes me so happy! I enjoy having a close relationship with my puppy homes and watching each puppy grow up.

How many puppies have you produced that have become successful service dogs?

A:We have had a couple puppies from each litter that have gone on to be Service Dogs, and they are doing great with their owners. As we don’t focus primarily on service dog prospects, we only accept one to two applications per litter so that we can help our families be successful. At this time we are not accepting applications for service dog prospects as our wait-list for them is full

What temperaments do you strive for?

We try for medium drive and energy, however there are instances of some puppies that are higher energy and drive, or lower. We enjoy a poodle with a great on off switch, biddable and eager to please. A poodle that is enjoyable to live with and compete with. Our children do dog 4H with our poodles, show them in Junior Showmanship in both AKC and UKC, NASDA, Barn Hunt, Dock Diving, FastCat, weight pull.

How are your dogs with cats/prey animals and even farm animals? Do you socialize puppies to them?

Most of our breeding poodles do have prey drive, and many of our puppies do as well. We try to introduce puppies to livestock near our home, and at our friend’s farm. The puppies are generally curious but would rather eat horse poop and play with each other. We also have chickens so puppies do get introduced to chickens.

Yes, we highly recommend pet insurance for peace of mind and to help cover unexpected health costs. We have found that PetsBest is very affordable and has worked really well for many pet owners.
